PRIVACY NOTICE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
As Akyüz Law & Consultancy, the privacy and security of the personal data of our clients, business partners, and all other natural persons with whom we are in contact are our fundamental priorities. Accordingly, this Privacy Notice on the Processing of Personal Data (“Privacy Notice”), prepared in the capacity of data controller, is presented to inform you about the processes regarding the processing of your personal data.
This Privacy Notice has been issued pursuant to Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVKK”) to fulfil our obligation to inform regarding how the personal data (“Personal Data”) provided to Akyüz Law & Consultancy within the scope of litigation and dispute resolution, legal consultancy, reporting, proposal preparation, contractual relationships, or recruitment processes are collected, processed, and protected.
All information belonging to identified or identifiable natural persons, such as name, surname, and contact details (address, phone number, e-mail, etc.), is processed and securely stored by Akyüz Law & Consultancy only within the limits prescribed by the applicable legislation and in accordance with the fundamental principles of the KVKK.
Akyüz Law & Consultancy acts as a data controller within the scope of the KVKK regarding the processing of personal data and strictly complies with the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and lawfulness. The firm applies all necessary technical and administrative measures with the utmost care to ensure data protection.
Purposes of Processing Personal Data
Akyüz Law & Consultancy processes personal data solely for lawful and legitimate purposes, in accordance with Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye and the provisions of the KVKK.

Akyüz Law & Consultancy pays utmost attention to the principle of confidentiality during the processing of personal data and processes data only to the extent required by the purposes mentioned above. If sharing with third parties becomes necessary, such sharing is carried out strictly within the limits permitted by law.
Methods and Legal Grounds for Collecting Personal Data
Akyüz Law & Consultancy collects your personal data within the scope of its activities, such as providing legal consultancy, conducting litigation and enforcement proceedings, preparing legal opinions, reports, and proposals, and establishing or executing consultancy or attorneyship agreements.
Your data may be obtained verbally or in writing through electronic communication tools, written documents, digital forms, e-mail correspondence, or face-to-face meetings. In this process, Akyüz Law & Consultancy processes your personal data to fulfil its contractual and legal obligations completely and properly.
All collected data are processed only in accordance with the conditions stipulated in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, based on lawfulness, fairness, and specific purposes. Within this framework, your data may be processed and shared with relevant persons, institutions, and authorities when necessary, provided that it remains limited to the purposes explained above.

Processing of Personal Data
Data processing activities are carried out transparently, lawfully, and for specific purposes, in compliance with the principles of fairness, proportionality, and transparency.
The collected data are stored only for the duration required by applicable legislation or for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of processing. Data are not used beyond their intended purposes; when the reasons for processing no longer exist, data are deleted, destroyed, or anonymized, except where retention is required by legal obligations.
Transfer of Personal Data
Personal data may be transferred to third parties only to the extent necessary and within the conditions set forth in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.
In this regard, data may be processed for the purposes of providing legal representation services, sharing information in litigation and enforcement processes, completing audit procedures, or maintaining office operations.
When necessary, data may be shared with attorneys, consultants, business partners, public institutions, judicial authorities, and service providers located within Türkiye.
Transfer of data abroad is possible only when necessary within the scope of legal consultancy, technical support, or IT services, and provided that the relevant country or institution ensures an adequate level of data protection.
Akyüz Law & Consultancy takes all necessary contractual and technical measures to ensure that the recipients of such data comply with confidentiality obligations and guarantees the security of data at every stage.
Rights of the Data Subject
Pursuant to Article 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Türkiye and Article 11 of the KVKK, personal data subjects have the following rights:

Applications are evaluated in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Personal Data Protection Authority.
If fulfilling your request incurs an additional cost, a fee may be charged based on the tariff determined by the Authority.
